Warwick is first female star to launch Metaverse Concert Series
Dionne Warwick becomes the first legendary female star to launch a Metaverse concert series. She has reached out to Snoop Dogg to join her “Dionne Warwick: Legends Metaverse Concert Experience.” Snoop narrated the “Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over documentary, which was recently acquired by CNN Films. Warwick has had a series of firsts in her more than 60 year career including being the first iconic female singer to win both pop and R&B Grammys in the same night. She was the first legendary singer to crossover into pop music selling over 100 million albums. She is now collaborating with the newest form of entertainment.
“I believe in keeping up with change and staying honest to who I am,” comments Warwick. “I am an entertainer and I love to perform in concert. When Damon brought this to me it sounded like a fun new way to sing live while reaching all ages and genres, so I said why not be the first to give it a shot. It’s not my first time to lead the charge, so why stop now.”
Damon Elliott, multi-platinum music producer, musician, singer, songwriter and composer, is Dionne Warwick’s son. Elliott’s production credits include work with Keyshia Cole, Destiny’s Child, P!nk, Jessica Simpson and Mya, among many others. In 2021, Damon wrote and produced the single “Nothing’s Impossible,” a duet for Warwick and Chance The Rapper. ”Power In The Name” is Warwick’s current single in collaboration with Elliott and Krayzie Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Warwick and Elliott are currently in the studio recording “Smile,” which will be an NFT drop with Theta Network. The song will be featuring a number of celebrity vocalists, and will be benefiting Operation Smile, an international organization that provides hundreds of thousands of free surgeries for children and young adults in developing countries.
