Pippa Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister, has talked about her daily fitness routine which includes jogging and a healthy diet.

However, Kate’s sister has a new hobby that helps her stay in shape.

Pippa has been pictured around London several times riding a kick scooter.

This type of scooter, as opposed to an e-scooter, has many health benefits as it requires more movement and effort.

It is actually considered a form of fitness as it helps burn calories and tones the body, especially the legs, glutes and core.

In fact, riding the scooter for half an hour helps burn around 200 calories.

About her weekly fitness routine, she previously explained: “I grew up in the countryside so being outdoors and involved in sport [is] in my blood.

“Like us all, I’ve faced different hurdles and challenges, but with running as part of my routine. It has brought clarity when I have felt muddled, a safe space before I make any big decision and a sense of freedom when life’s pressures weigh me down.

“Running and sport, in general, has been a constant light in my life,” Pippa explained during an interview with running shoe brand, Hoka One One.

DON’T MISS

She continued: “More recently, over the past two years, family life and motherhood has consumed much of my spare time and unsurprisingly the challenges I thrived on have taken a back seat.

“Running and fitness still form part of my weekly routine but not to the level it was before. My running has been more after babies and toddlers than crossing finish lines, which I’m fine with — for now!” she said.

“Being active with my two and a half-year-old son in the park or playground, transporting him on the back of my bike, and buggy running when he was a baby have been ways in which I have been able to include outdoor exercise whilst being a hands-on mummy.

“It’s helped manage my weight, is time efficient and gives us both the chance to enjoy the fresh air and explore the great outdoors.”

In terms of diet, Pippa follows a balanced and healthy meal plan which includes eating the same breakfast every morning

She explained that she “can’t start the day properly” unless she has breakfast.

“My usual breakfast is either plain yoghurt with chopped fruit and toasted seeds, oats and nuts or toasted rye bread with eggs or avocado,” Pippa told i newspaper on another occasion.

She also said she enjoys “Bircher muesli with fresh berries on top – you can even make a batch for the whole week”.

Pippa said in her Waitrose column: “I grew up with the belief that good health is about moderation in all things, so I’ll be celebrating healthy living through exercise, a balanced diet and a little of the naughty stuff sprinkled in – I’m talking chocolate, crisps and an occasional glass of wine.”

She continued: “I’ve never done Dukan, attempted Atkins or exercised religiously seven days a week but I do believe in making healthy choices.

“Keeping refined carbs such as white bread and pasta to a minimum, and sticking to sensible portion sizes.”

She said her breakfasts are often “lots of porridge or boiled eggs with soldiers”.
