We’re nearing the end of the week but that doesn’t mean that the news has slowed down. We’ve got plenty of big stories today, the biggest being Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter. On the gaming side of things, CD Projekt’s latest financial call revealed a bunch of news about its latest and upcoming titles, and people think that Sony is about to buy Kojima Productions. Read on for more info.

Elon Musk

Elon musk shook Twitter today as he announced that he wants to buy a controlling share in the social media platform for a whopping $43 billion. Musk bought a 9.2 percent stake in the company not too long ago, but Musk has now upped his bid as he attempts to solve users issues with “free speech.” It’s unknown whether Musk’s offer will be accepted, but Twitter would undoubtedly undergo significant change under his control. For better or worse is something we can only speculate about.

Cyberpunk 2077’s First Expansion To Release In 2023

CD Projekt’s recent financial call revealed a bunch of interesting info about Cyberpunk 2077 and the Witcher series, including the confirmation that Cyberpunk 2077’s first expansion won’t arrive until 2023. Other than that, we got to hear about the sales figures for both of the studio’s premiere franchises, with Cyberpunk 2077 having now sold over 18 million copies. The Witcher 3 also boasts similarly impressive numbers having sold over 40 million copies, bringing the total sales number for the entire series up to 60 million.

Sony Kojima Banner

Another day, another acquisition rumor, but this time it’s Sony in the spotlight. A banner on the PlayStation website has caused a stir as it has been updated to include Sam Bridges from PlayStation exclusive Death Stranding. Pretty much all of the games featured on the banner have been produced by PlayStation owned studios – all apart from Demons Souls and Death Stranding. This is has led some to believe that Sony is attempting to acquire Kojima Productions, although this is just pure speculation.
